Jealous little Sally

OK, so now that I've figured out this blog thing, Sally is getting jealous. Check her out! Now, this lovely dog lady, possibly lab and pointer mix, arrived at our house from a local rural animal shelter on November 1. We are now surpassing the $500 mark in terms of vet bills, and she is so sweet that I'm trying not to mind. It's only money, right? (I feel like I'm throwing it out the window as we drive back and forth to the vet...) Poor Sally is going back again to the vet, a day earlier than planned, because she's split her plastic elizabethan collar. The tapeworms are back, and her ear is still irritated. OH, and she needs to have her stitches removed from being spayed, and she's still having a bit of bleeding. Now, I believe spaying and neutering is essential, especially when you live in a place as overpopulated with pets as Kentucky. However, I'm beginning to worry that I won't be able to pay the bills, because I spend all my time going to the vet and refereeing Sally and Harry wrestling matches. When will I find time to actually write and sell things to nice magazines? Meanwhile, dear hubby is trying to find time to put up my handspun yarn photos on my new website, www.joanneseiff.com. I'll give you a little taste of what's to come, just to keep you from feeling fiber deprived....if you have to add to the stash, you know what to do. The vet bills keep happening, here...

yup, that's handspun cashmere. 230 yards of it, two ply, dk weight. This is the cashmere I wrote about in Knitlit the Third. It's great stuff. Like crack for fiber people.

Love the cashmere! And I can see it now, before the picture of Sally was artistically arranged partially on top of the picture of the yarn!

PS You're going to want to turn on that feature where I'd have also had to enter a randomly generated text string that was displayed to me as a graphic. Elizabeth has that turned on. You will be drowning in spam otherwise, as soon as the bots find you.

Thanks, everybody! I'm excited about this. Caroline, I did what you said and popped in the word verification. I don't want to be taken over by bots....

Oh, and when you saw the photos one over another? That's when I was trying to write the darn entry and revise it. Patience, patience! :)Joanne
